Press-locked gratings are composed of parallel arranged flat steel bars, the bearing bars, which are pressure-locked into the cross-bars. A band frames the bearing and cross-bars, wich are arranged at right angles to one another.
Bearing bars are load-bearing, vertical flat bars which run parallel to one another from one support to the next. The thickness and the high of the bearing bars define the load capacity of the gratings. The heavier the load, and the longer the clear span, the thicker and higher should be the bearing bar.
Pressed gratings are produced from black, hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel according to DIN 24537 and upon requestare accompanied by a certificate of quality.
Stability combined with low consumption of material makes the gratings preferred by engineers and investors.
